The castle, in addition to the wonderful panoramic view of the entire city, allows you to discover treasures and history, including ancient musical instruments and inside you can visit the Museum of the Middle Ages in Gorizia, the Museum of the Great War, the Museum of Fashion and Applied Arts, the archaeological collection and the picture gallery. Not far away you can admire “Il giardino Delle Azalee,” which gathers 500 varieties of azaleas, more than 300 types of rare roses, 150 varieties of rhododendrons, 50 varieties of camellias and 120 of magnolias, in a blaze of colors and fragrances. Collio Isontino is ideal for a regenerative break in a stunning scenic area full of wonderful landscapes to explore on foot, by Vespa, mountain bike, horseback or bicycle.
