Homebase Hiriketiya is a Coliving in the South of Sri Lanka, only a 7-min walk away from the surf beach. Founded by Lisi, a digital nomad, and Lucky, a local surf instructor, you'll be in safe hands. While Lucky will provide all the information you want about Sri Lankan culture, where to find the best rice and curry and valuable Buddhist learnings, Lisi will make sure you have everything you need for your remote work tasks. -- Our Values -- Community We want to build and strenghten the community. This goes for both the group of people that stays with us, as well as supporting the local community. We encourage our guests to do the same. If there is any skill you can offer for the community (eg. teaching English to locals or any other skill) we can organise events. We don't want to create another "White Bubble", we want to connect with locals and pay back for their friendlyness. Respect Be honest and respect other's boundaries and space. Sleep is important: Keep quiet from 10pm-7am. We treat our staff well and give them the flexibility and opportunities we’d like for ourselves. Nature before Profit We'll do our best to stay in touch with nature, trying to ditch single-use plastic and picking the more environmentally friendly option where possible.
